Ethics and Integrity

While business ethics and integrity values could not be perceived as a universally recognized matter and more linked to personal understanding and individual compliance, it is however quite clear that ethical breaches, once discovered, can have disastrous consequences financial, organizational, and image-wise.

Behavior that, in the view of risk management or compliance, is unethical may be completely irrelevant, or perfectly acceptable, in the view of the business or another department. Although companies often encourage their executives to abide by a set of ethical business principles, they know that overlooking some of these principles helps them to increase their top-line revenues.

Encouraging an ethical approach is much more than just legal compliance and key for a sustainable development. The conduct and integrity values should be clearly communicated and promoted.

Compliance Lab offers tailored ethical frameworks to best meet our client needs (e.g. Reflecting the ethical values in the operational management, defining Policies and Procedures, Implementing whistleblowing programs, defining values and ethical behavior as well as standards and best practices, etc.).
